Hi everyone! Welcome to Hope Ink, a magazine at the crossroads of missions, justice issues, art and culture. Our heart is not only to inform you about world issues, but to give you ways to get involved and bring hope to others around the world, from your own backyard to the furthest rainforest and desert. I know that sounds like a big task, and trust me, four years ago, I would have told you it’s downright overwhelming. But I am here to testify that it is possible to make a difference. It takes opening your heart just a little bit, doing just one thing, to open the floodgates of change.

This magazine idea has been a labor of love for me, a dream that was conceived in the basement of an English manor three years ago. It has taken approximately 60,000 miles of air travel, countless writes, rewrites, back tracks, explanations, edits and new ideas to make this magazine happen. I hope you are blessed and inspired by what you read and see here.

I’ve been sifting through my thoughts for days, trying to think of ways to officially open this magazine, but what can I say? The idea to use journalism to reach the masses with an important message is not a new one. Many have done it before me, and I hope many others will for years to come. I can only hope to be beacon to those who desire to make a difference in the world today.

Please browse around, come back often for updates, add comments and e-mail suggestions, fluff the pillows and make yourself at home. This is a community in flux, and we’re here so you can get involved. Taking a missions trip? We would love to hear about it. Are you an artist/advocate/writer? We need your voice. Sure, this was an idea God gave me, but I need you to make it come to life.

So, welcome to Hope Ink! May God bless you and open your heart to all His possibilities.

    Yeah Lauren!!!
I do get that fluff the pillows kind of feeling from the site; very comfortable, yet informative, creative and providing yet another vehicle for God to move in, around and through the world.
    Brava!
